■Event summary Continuing from last year, we will hold the video production workshop “Video Creative Challenge 2024” aiming to revitalize the Shichiken-cho area of ​​Shizuoka City using generative AI and cutting-edge video technology. This is a workshop series that allows anyone to create the videos they want using generative AI, and a contest that invites the public to submit the videos they create. The contest will solicit video works in three categories: “Generated AI Video Category,” “Short Movie Category,” and “Cinead Category.” The works that pass the first screening will be screened at the Shizuoka Toho Kaikan movie theater located in Shichiken-cho, Shizuoka City, and the best work in each category will be determined. You can participate in either the workshop or the screening, so please come and join us. ■Background/Purpose The purpose is to provide an opportunity to learn and practice video production techniques using technologies such as generative AI. Shichiken Town, which has a long history as a town providing entertainment since the Edo period, has been forced to update in line with recent changes in the social environment and technological innovation.
