The sanctuary offers captive orcas and beluga whales the opportunity to live in a protected natural environment, free from captivity and enjoying autonomy and dignity. Charles Vinick, executive director of the Whale Sanctuary Project, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “We are extremely grateful for Spinnaker’s support of our work and are thrilled to be producing this second timepiece, following the success of last year’s original timepiece. Our goal is to to see it live in its wild blue home, with autonomy and dignity, as nature intended.”

[Product Features] Skillfully expressing adorable marine creatures A beluga whale and an orca appear on a dial reminiscent of the ocean. Both are highly intelligent mammals with adorable facial expressions. I had drawn similar creatures in my previous work, but in this second edition, I drew two of them swimming gracefully around each other.

It depicts two beluga whales swimming harmoniously, whether they are parent and child or siblings. Another feature is the use of light blue for the date display. The orca model depicts two animals as if they were circling in circles. The dial is colored in chic brown. The date display is displayed in black, reminiscent of their bodies, giving a firm impression. Even if you go into a dark place, you can enjoy the lively appearance. In addition to the hands and indexes, the Beluga and Orca are also coated with luminous paint. The two animals also have different colors, creating a sense of dynamism.
