Investor, shogi player (7th dan). He has been known as a zaiteku shogi player since his active days, and after retiring in 2007, he began a “shareholder benefits lifestyle” where he hardly used cash. At one point, his holdings increased to around 400 stocks, with a market value of 300 million yen, but after the painful experience of the Lehman Shock, he began to focus on a “holding investment strategy” instead of selling stocks with preferential treatment or dividends. By taking advantage of shareholder benefits, he hardly uses cash for his living expenses, and uses various methods to sell time-limited gift certificates, which have low utility value to him, at gift certificate shops, at a higher price.  Matsui Securities aims to provide products and services full of ideas that make investing fun, in order to support customers’ enriching lives through investment experiences.
