For more than 160 years, Tiffany & Co. has created trophies that symbolize the achievements of athletes in many sports. In the baseball world, from 2003 to the present, Japan has won the Central League championship trophy in professional baseball, the World Baseball Classic (WBC) championship trophy since 2006, and other famous sports leagues and tournaments around the world. Tiffany trophies celebrate the achievements of athletes. This year marks the 22nd time since the Tiffany Trophy was adopted by the Central League. The championship trophy is made of sterling silver and measures 63cm high and weighs 10kg, inheriting the original design of three golden bats holding the cup aloft. Since our founding, we have received much inspiration from Japanese aesthetics and culture in the design of our jewelry and decorative items. The Yomiuri Giants’ new logo design also pays homage to Tiffany’s long-standing strong ties with Japan. Tiffany’s trophies are made by craftsmen at a hollowware workshop in Rhode Island, USA, where they create over 100 unique designs each year. Tiffany’s handcrafted trophies are proof of victory in baseball, basketball, tennis, American football, and more.
