On October 21, 2024 local time, the World Triathlon (TRI) general meeting was held in Torremolinos, Spain, and the new officers (term of office from October 22, 2024 to the 2028 general meeting) were determined as follows. From Japan, Shinichiro Otsuka (Managing Director of the Japan Triathlon Union (JTU), a public interest incorporated association, was reappointed as vice president for a third term. Antonio Arimany (Spain) was also elected as the new president of TRI.
