“Onward Reuse Park Kichijoji” URL: https://www.onward-reusepark.jp/ “Onward Reuse Park Kichijoji” opened in 2014 as the industry’s first environmentally and socially contributing store. It is a hub for the Onward Group’s sustainable activities, and the only store that constantly sells our reused clothing. Our store, which has celebrated its 10th anniversary and is loved by many customers, including the people of Musashino City, is exhibiting displays that express the “culture” that flows through time in the city of Kichijoji. This fall, under the theme of “COMIC TOWN Kichijoji,” we created a display that focuses on the comic culture that represents Kichijoji. Mototaka Koide, a Kichijoji-based manga artist, has transcribed Kichijoji’s symbolic landscapes and the exterior of our store into comic drawings, which will be exhibited and, as a first-of-its-kind initiative, will be printed with comic drawings on reused clothing.
