Press release: October 24, 2024 KPMG Consulting holds “KPMG Consulting Special Day” at Shonan Bellmare home game – Various experiential events themed around digital technology and SDGs– KPMG Consulting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masahiro Miyahara, hereinafter referred to as KPMG Consulting) is a member of the J1 professional soccer club Shonan Bellmare (location: Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, representative director), a member of the Japan Professional Soccer League. KPMG Consulting will be working with KPMG Consulting on the 36th round home game of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League, “Shonan Bellmare vs. Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo”, to be held at Lemon Gas Stadium Hiratsuka on Saturday, November 9, 2024 (President and CEO: Hiroshi Sakamoto). It will be held as a special day. KPMG Consulting has entered into an official club partner agreement with Shonan Bellmare from 2020, and as a “digital innovation partner”, we will work to improve fan engagement using digital technology and promote SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) activities through sports. We are conducting various initiatives to revitalize local communities and local economies, such as building a “local co-creation digital platform”. The KPMG Consulting Special Day, which will be held for the fifth time, will feature a collaboration with Shonan Bellmare U-18 Girls, including soccer training for Shonan Bellmare using VR, with the concept of “Let’s learn about digital technology and SDGs while having fun.” We will hold various hands-on events such as workshops and blind soccer where you play while wearing an eye mask. We provide an opportunity to learn how advanced training using digital technology is used not only by athletes but also by the general public. ●E-sports experience While playing soccer, which is one of the most popular e-sports
competitions, participants will experience the fun of e-sports, where you can easily compete against others regardless of time, place, or age. We will also provide an opportunity to learn about the role that e-sports is expected to play in the future. ●Let’s make our dreams come true! Collaboration workshop with Shonan Bellmare U-18 Girls The team members of Shonan Bellmare U-18 Girls, who continue to take on challenges toward their “dreams,” and KPMG Consulting’s network of female employees, “WOVEMENTS (R)” (*2), collaborated to encourage people to think about their “dreams for the future.” Based on the concept, you will experience creating a framework and misanga to visualize your dreams. ●Blind soccer experience You will experience blind soccer, where you wear an eye mask and play with a ball that makes noise. By experiencing soccer with your eyes turned off, we provide an opportunity to physically learn about diversity. ●Let’s have fun learning and preparing! Disaster prevention experience program Enjoy disaster prevention activities through a variety of content, including a hands-on experience with fire extinguishers, which are rarely touched, a quiz on what to bring in an emergency, and a dress-up game to think about what clothes to wear and what to bring when evacuating during a flood disaster.
