Launch commemorative event October 28, 2024 (Tokyo) – United Airlines has launched the long-awaited Tokyo/Narita-Cebu route from October 27, 2024. On the launch day, gate events were held at Narita International Airport and Mactan-Cebu International Airport to celebrate the launch with passengers on the first flight. At Narita Airport, United Airlines staff and crew members handed out souvenirs to passengers to commemorate the first flight departing from Tokyo. The new route will depart from Narita International Airport at 5:30 p.m. and arrive at Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 10:05 p.m. on the same day. The return flight will depart from Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 9:30 a.m. and arrive at Narita International Airport at 3:15 p.m. on the same day. The aircraft operated is a 737-800, with a total number of seats of 166 (16 of which are business class). This daily nonstop flight not only expands travel options for Japanese customers, but also allows U.S. customers to connect to the Philippines in Tokyo on United’s Pacific route.
