Two teams from Taisha High School’s baseball club, which attracted national attention by defeating powerful schools one after another to reach the top eight at Koshien this summer, also participated: “Infinite Possibilities” and “Team Mane.” To express my gratitude for the support I received from the local community and to give something back to the community, I decided to participate and fought against trash at “Koshien,” which is different from baseball.

The total amount of garbage collected was 36.9 kg. In this competition, 5 teams created original items and competed. Each item has its own ingenuity, such as a box with the catchphrase “Don’t litter, let’s pick up”, a box with sleds, and a box with compartments that allow for detailed separation. We heard comments from participants such as “I want to keep the coast as clean as possible” and “Spo GOMI lets you pick up trash while having fun.” At the end of the 40-minute competition, the total amount of trash picked up by all participants was 36.9 kg.
