Ibaraki Prefecture is famous for producing chestnuts, boasting the highest production volume* in Japan. Among them, Kasama City is the most active chestnut producer in the prefecture. At this time of year, many people from inside and outside the prefecture visit Kasama in search of chestnuts. “Kasama Maron Collection 2024″ brings together 16 popular confectionery shops, cafes, and chestnut specialty stores in the prefecture, mainly located in Kasama City, and sells Japanese sweets, including Mont Blanc, the standard marron sweets.
