Hankyu Corporation (2024.11.05) Hankyu Corporation Takasago Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd. donated a new stage curtain “amoroso” to the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater. Takasago Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd. recently donated new stage curtains to the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, 2,079 seats), the exclusive theater for the Takarazuka Revue. The design of this stage curtain, titled “amoroso,” is a magnificent and elegant Nishijin hontsuzure nishikiori that evokes the splendor and dynamism of the Takarazuka Revue. The new stage curtain is currently being performed by the Hoshigumi political comedy “I don’t remember!” ” -Top Secret-, Carnaval Fantasia’s “Tiara Azul -Destino-” will be unveiled today, November 5th (Tuesday) at 1:30pm. Production intention This gorgeous curtain features a dynamic rococo-style arabesque pattern, a symbol of the Takarazuka Revue, on a soft base reminiscent of a glossy crimson velvet curtain. Although the form of the arabesque pattern is simple, its edges sparkle like gold stitching. The deep, calm colors create an elegant atmosphere within the theater. Heart shapes were incorporated here and there to express the love for Takarazuka Revue that overflowed from the audience. The design heightens expectations for the stage.
