The theme of “Crossing” is Ryohei Kondo, the artistic director of Saitama Arts Theater Saitama, which aims to be a theater where artists from different genres and diverse people and local communities cross paths. Kondo will be the listener, and we will have guests who are active in various genres Public conversation series started last fall, and has so far included film director Tetsu Maeda, radio personality Tomoko Chris, designer and artist Tomoe Shinohara, translator and theater critic Kazuko Matsuoka, and artist and Tokyo University of the Arts President Hibino. After working as an assistant professor in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Tokyo Hospital and at Karuizawa Hospital, as of 2024, he is currently a specially appointed professor at Keio University’s System Design Management (SDM). He has served as the artistic director of the Yamagata Biennale since 2020, and has studied not only Western medicine but also a wide range of medical care, and is engaged in activities that build bridges between medicine, art, welfare, and other fields. choreographed and appeared on NHK General TV’s “Salaryman NEO”, choreographed the NHK TV drama series “Teppan”, and choreographed the NHK taiga drama “Idaten”. He has been active in a variety of fields, including theater productions by Hideki Noda, movies, and TV commercials. They also contribute to society through dance, such as the “Condors’ Play Plan,” a performance in which children as young as 0 years old can participate, and the “Handles,” a dance team made up of people with disabilities.
