You may become infected. Present yourself! Now, the speakers will share in their own words how people affected by the disease deal with it and live their lives in their own way. There is no other event where people with ALS come together to share their thoughts and experiences about their lives. For those who have recently been diagnosed with an illness, their families and supporters, and those in the nursing, welfare, and medical fields, we encourage them to create “horizontal connections” and learn about various “options” they may not yet know. As an opportunity to have it. We hope that many people who have had no connection to ALS or other intractable diseases will deepen their understanding of the disease, and learn about the speakers who are living strong and flexible lives in the face of the difficulties that suddenly appear on them. We hope that this will be an opportunity for you to reconsider your way of life and gain new values and tips for living. You can participate in the event online, and participation is free (donation tickets are also available for sale). Event details Scenes from the 11th Northern Kanto event. A total of 270 people participated, both at the venue and online.

ALS affects only the motor nerves that direct the movement of the body, and gradually the voluntary muscles (muscles that can be moved by one’s own will) all over the body stop working, and the patient has to choose whether or not to use a breathing machine, in other words, whether to live or die. It is said to be a severe disease that one cannot live without.
