In addition, it is equipped with features such as public facility reservations, electronic circulation board functions, and smart locks that can be used during normal times, and in the future, it is also planned to support electronic payments. This not only improves the convenience of residents who use the service, but also reduces the amount of time required for administrative staff to respond, greatly contributing to operational efficiency. The system is sensitive to complex fee structures and diverse rental rules for each facility, and can be used in conjunction with traditional reservation methods such as telephone and email, allowing for a smooth system transition.

Users do not need to download an app or register as a member in advance; they can check evacuation shelter locations and crowd conditions by accessing VACAN Maps from a QR code or URL. This enables smooth decision-making during evacuation. In fact, it has been used by multiple local governments during Typhoon No. 7 and Typhoon No. 8 in August 2023, and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in January 2024, and is being used in times of disaster. Currently, it is used by more than 200 local governments to visualize crowding at evacuation centers. ■Local government implementation results In addition to visualizing congestion at evacuation centers, Bakan has provided services to local residents and tourists to visualize and control crowding, and has a track record of providing services to approximately 300 local governments. In the future, Bakan will continue to utilize the local exchange promotion app “tami tami” for local governments, aiming for phase-free use such as making
reservations for public facilities in daily life, distributing sightseeing and event information, and strengthening functions for disaster prevention. We will continue to promote the development of various functions. ■About Bakan Co., Ltd. Company name: Bakan Co., Ltd.
