We will be holding “Nio Statues Off Day 2024 Autumn”. However, when people rely on them, it must be a difficult time. Being able to live without depending on God and Buddha seemed to me to be proof that people could live peacefully if their livelihood infrastructure was in place. We want the Buddhist statues that have lived with us for hundreds and thousands of years to take a rest once in a while. I want people to not have to rely on them. With this wish in mind, I create works with the theme of “off days” when the Buddha statues are not working. This time, we are planning to exhibit a total of 13 works, including 9 new works, and among them we will also be releasing the “Nio statue riding a Segway”, which has received many inquiries and interviews.
