Roadside Station Shonan is collaborating with Hakuhodo Co., Ltd.’s “Jimo Shigoto” Project and Kashiwa City to promote a new souvenir culture, “omiyasai,” based on the concept of “Using vegetables grown in Kashiwa City as souvenirs.” We are working on a project. 1. What is “omiyasai”? Rather than developing new souvenirs, Reborn Kashiwa City’s existing assets as souvenirs Based on this idea, our initiative is to “turn the vegetables themselves lined up at the roadside station Shonan’s direct sales stand into souvenirs, rather than processed products such as sweets.” For this PR event, we created a souvenir bag called “OMIYASAI BAG” made from recycled plastic greenhouses used in agriculture in Kashiwa City that would have been discarded. How about a new environmentally friendly and sustainable souvenir stuffed with fresh vegetables from Kashiwa City? Additionally, the “Big Harvest Festival” is currently being held at the roadside station Shonande (October 12th to November 10th) to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Kashiwa City. As part of this special project, we will hold an “Omiyasai” PR event. In addition, various other events are planned for the day, including a hot air balloon ride experience (advance application required) and balloon attractions.

OMIYASAI BAG is a sustainable gift bag made from plastic greenhouses that were used in agriculture in Kashiwa City and would have been discarded, but have been cleaned, cut, printed, sewn, and sterilized. Just by filling this gift bag with vegetables, the vegetables will turn into a wonderful souvenir/gift that you’ll want to give to someone. 3. “Omiyasai” PR event details Implementation details (1) “Omiyasai” gift quiz rally Those who complete the quiz rally will receive a free gift filled with fresh vegetables. *First come first served, limited quantity (2) “Omiyasai” sales booth Fill the OMIYASAI BAG with up to 7 of your favorite vegetables and create your own omiyasai. *Paid
