By participating in the program, students first learn about the existence of a school called Digital Hollywood, as well as the variety of work styles and job content, and learn that even working adults can make a career change from inexperienced through relearning, and that there are career options other than their university major. I came up with this project because I wanted to tell the world more about this. The reason we came up with this project was because there were members who thought, “I aspire to be a creator, but I don’t know how to do it, and I don’t have a vision for the future.” In fact, I had thought the same way myself, and the other members agreed, saying, “That’s true!” and we had fun coming up with a plan. When I thought about this project and looked at various lives, I started to think that there is no normal way to live, so I would like to make this an event where everyone can think about “various lives”! Various life exhibitions have made me wonder, “I admire people who do what they love as a job, and people who live happily! But I wonder if I can be like that too…” and “Is it okay for me to stay the way I am?” This event was created with the hope that it would be an opportunity for people to live their own lives. Through this event, I would be happy if you could feel even a little bit that you can change your life in any way you want. This is an event that everyone can enjoy, so please feel free to come and join us! Everyone worries a lot when making important decisions in life, such as work or the future. However, no matter how much you think about it, there are limits to the options you can come up with on your own. However, in our daily lives, we don’t often have the opportunity to learn deeply about someone else’s life. “I wish there was a place where I could learn about the lives of many people at once…” That’s why I thought of holding this event. I hope that people will come to the “Various Life Exhibition” and experience a variety of ways of living, and realize that there are many choices in life. I don’t think it’s easy to decide to take a different path in order to live your life in your own way, and I think there are many times when we end up giving up. However, there are many people who are worried in the same way, and some people have taken action out of their doubts. At this event, we hope that by learning about the lives of people who have transitioned from various positions, you will encounter a new outlook on life that you would not have realized on your own, and it will be an opportunity for you to think about your own way of living. Every time you start moving, it’s an opportunity to change. We would be happy if you could visit us. During the discussion to come up with a project proposal, I came into contact with members who had different hobbies and fields of study, and I got a sense of the differences in their individual personalities and ways of thinking. However, there were moments when all the members felt deep empathy and connected. I wanted to know that there are many options in life, and that it’s okay to deviate from the normal way of life and take on challenges. Although we live in an age of diversity, I think there are some aspects of us that are bound to a lifestyle of finding a job and continuing to work after graduating from university. We would like to support you in taking on the challenges you want to try. As “work shifts” begin to attract attention and the way we work changes dramatically, our lifestyle and how we use our time itself begins to change, and we are quick to notice that our “learning style” is also changing as a result. Digital Hollywood has been offering this “new learning style” since 2012. *At Digital Hollywood STUDIO, a variety of people across generations are learning, including young people, full-time housewives, people aiming to change jobs, and people thinking about becoming independent or freelance in the future.
