organization/NPO Childlin (representative director: Michiyo Gamo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) (planning and management) will be hosting Mitsui on November 30th (Saturday) and December 1st (Sunday), 2024. “The 2nd Kanagawa Wood Fair – Experience, learn about, and live with Kanagawa’s forests” will be held at Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside’s Kujira-no-Oya Plaza and Bayside Lounge. This event is a wood education event for Kanagawa residents that can be enjoyed by parents and children, with the main theme being the Kanagawa Wood Utilization Movement, a movement to utilize wood from Kanagawa Prefecture. The event consists of three corners: a hands-on attraction, a stage, and a booth, and in each corner, parents and children can have fun learning about Kanagawa Prefecture’s timber. After that, the content of the experience is suggested so that you can use it in your daily life. Also, you can try all the content for free. (Some booths require a donation.) As an announcement of this event, we plan to distribute flyers with information to elementary school children, kindergartens and certified kindergartens in Yokohama City, and child care support facilities in Kanagawa. Our main goal is to protect the forests of Kanagawa Prefecture with all citizens of Kanagawa Prefecture, and to pass on the rich nature to the next generation of children (forest
conservation).
