TAI was selected at the JR East Startup Program 2023 Spring, which was held in the past, and subsequently entered into a capital and business alliance with JR East in April 2024 to support the introduction of AI solutions aimed at streamlining railway operations and reducing costs. Co-creation example with JR East Startup Co., Ltd. TAI has entered into a capital and business alliance with JR East Startup, aiming to improve the efficiency and reduce costs of railway operations using AI solutions. TAI’s technology is contributing to the maintenance of social infrastructure in the railway industry, such as reducing monitoring time by automating disaster monitoring at JR East Akita Branch and reducing inventory costs by automating inventory management at Union Construction. At this year’s “JR EAST STARTUP DAY,” we will be exhibiting examples of DX that we are progressing with JR East, centering on the AI computing platform “TAI SEASIDE-R6” developed by TAI. “TAI SEASIDE-R6” is a computing platform suitable for edge AI and contributes to stable operation and cost reduction in railway operations by linking with various cameras. At our exhibition booth, we will demonstrate and introduce case studies of AI solutions for the railway business, how we are responding to strict railway safety requirements, and examples of how we are leveraging the know-how we have cultivated through PoC (proof of concept).
