 As the labor shortage due to the declining birthrate and aging population has become a national issue, Niigata Prefecture is supporting the promotion of foreign human resources to companies within the prefecture as an effective means of resolving the labor shortage.  Even in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, which is famous nationwide as a “manufacturing city,” the recruitment of foreign human resources is essential in order to resolve the labor shortage in industries related to manufacturing, mainly metal processing, which is the core industry. However, the issue is that companies lack the know-how and basic knowledge in preparation for accepting foreign human resources, recruitment, procedures, and training.  This event, sponsored by Sanjo City and managed by Toyo Work, will be held in two parts: the first part is a seminar, and the second part is a talk session.  In Part 1, Hayato Mori, Representative Director of Mori Kosan Co., Ltd., a company that handles a wide range of education, recruitment, and retention follow-up for foreign human resources, centering on the operation of the multilingual information media “WA.SA.Bi.” (Wasabi) A seminar titled “Based on corporate cases – Flow of employment and key points of labor management” was held by Mr. We will explain the recruitment flow and key points for foreign human resources, and also tell you about the differences in characteristics depending on the country.  In the second part, a talk session was held on the theme of “Working and living environments required of foreign human
resources.” Companies that employ technical intern trainees, supervising organizations, and registered support organizations will participate as panelists, and will share with the participants improvement measures for issues faced in the field and know-how on hiring foreign human resources.  Not only those living in Sanjo City but also those outside the city are welcome to participate.
