Kaonavi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and Co-CEO: Hiroyuki Sato, hereinafter referred to as the Company) is Imabari Co., Ltd., the operating company of FC Imabari. We held a kids internship for the regional revitalization “-ship project” that we are working on with Yume Sports (Headquarters: Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, Chairman and Representative Director: Takeshi Okada). The event was held over two days on October 14th and 15th, 2024 at four local industrial companies in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, and a total of 16 elementary school students from the Tokyo metropolitan area and Imabari City participated. This year’s kids internship was held as a commemorative project for the 20th anniversary of the merger of Imabari City. ■ Children gain work experience in local industries in Imabari City Our company’s purpose is to “implement technology in work and change the specifications of society through the power of individuals,” and the ESG initiative that embodies this is the regional revitalization “-ship project.” As part of this initiative, the Kids Internship Program aims to get the next generation of children interested in “working,” and this is the second time this year we have undertaken this program. In this year’s Kids Internship, we invited children living in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Imabari City to participate in a work experience program centered on local industries in Imabari City. This time, my internship destination was Imabari Co., Ltd. We received cooperation from four companies and organizations: Yume Sports (soccer management), Ehime Fisheries Cooperative Miyakubo Branch (fisheries), Shinkurushima Dock Co., Ltd. (shipbuilding), and Fujitaka Co., Ltd. (towel manufacturing). ■ Jobs in soccer management, fishing, shipbuilding, and towel manufacturing

Dream Sports: Experience working as a manager at FC Imabari’s home base, ASICS Satoyama Stadium. I was interested in learning about the behind-the-scenes aspects of soccer management and the various jobs that are available for players and supporters. ●Ehime Prefecture Fisheries Cooperative Miyakubo Branch: Experience the currents of Miyakubo Seto, a popular sightseeing spot around the Shimanami Kaido. In addition, fishermen went diving right in front of us and caught sea shellfish, octopus, and abalone. The children learned about the difficulty of fishing and were impressed by the deliciousness of the seafood they ate on the spot.

Connecting happiness,” we toured a gigantic car carrier. The children were amazed at the scale and took notes with great interest. ●Fujitaka Co., Ltd.: At a long-established towel manufacturer that represents the “Imabari Towel” brand and is No. 1 in production and sales in Japan, you can experience towel cutting, semi-automatic hemming, etc. with the support of President Fujitaka. I got a first-hand experience of the process that goes into making towels and the technological strength that supports the brand. At a later date, we held a kids intern debriefing session, where the children presented the content of the work they experienced, what they felt and discovered in the workplace based on the “Taiken Report.”
