Mainichi Shimbun (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Ken Matsuki), Nagasaki Prefecture (Governor: Kengo Oishi), Nagasaki City (Mayor: Shiro Suzuki), Sasebo City (Mayor: Daisuke Miyajima), Goto City (Mayor) : Futoshi Deguchi) is the Japan Tourism Agency “Work-type work demonstration project that even the child-rearing generation can participate in” , we proposed “Realizing corporate DEI in Nagasaki and providing learning through workcation to the child-rearing generation” and was selected. Since 2021, Mainichi Shimbun has been supporting companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area to practice workation in Nagasaki Prefecture as a Nagasaki Prefecture project. In addition, since 2020, Mainichi Mirai Sozo Lab Co., Ltd., a member of the group, has been collaborating with local governments across the country to develop a “parent-child workcation” business where children work while traveling. The culmination of such co-creation between the Mainichi Shimbun Group and local governments in Nagasaki Prefecture was selected for the Japan Tourism Agency’s workation promotion project. A parent-child workday targeting employees of companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area will begin in the remote island of Goto City from Sunday, November 10th to Thursday, November 14th, 2024, followed by Sasebo City in late November and Nagasaki City in December. We will hold this event and strive to promote the acceptance of parent-child workdays in Nagasaki Prefecture for corporate corporations.

Goto City Planning 4 nights and 5 days from November 10th (Sunday) to November 14th (Thursday) ・Parents work remotely on weekdays, children attend local elementary school or nursery school ・Held a tour for parents and children around Fukue Island in the Goto Islands, as well as a traditional cooking experience with local residents. 2. Sasebo City Planning 3 nights and 4 days from November 24th (Sunday) to 27th (Wednesday) ・Parents work remotely on weekdays, children attend local elementary school or nursery school ・Experienced Sasebo’s “pressed sushi making” experience with local residents at Oyado Tsuruya, held an opinion exchange meeting at City Hall, etc. 3. Nagasaki City Planning 3 nights and 4 days from December 15th (Sunday) to 18th (Wednesday) ・Parents work remotely on weekdays, children attend local nursery school – Parents and children stroll around Glover Garden, Oura Cathedral, etc., and hold a workshop with participants and the local government at Hotel Nagasaki ■Participating companies Japan Airlines Co., Ltd., Fujitsu Co., Ltd., KOKUYO Co., Ltd., JTB Co., Ltd., Caster Co., Ltd., and others (in no particular order)
