metropolitan area, it is important to convey the appeal of companies to students through long-term paid work experience and internships before their job-hunting gets into full swing, to promote local employment and eliminate post-employment mismatches. The project will be implemented from April 2024 as part of the “I want to work in Sendai! Project” project, with the aim of avoiding the above and subsequently retaining human resources. We have set up a dedicated site for this project within the useful job-hunting portal site “I want to work in Sendai!”, which lists many paid work experience and internship programs that students in their early years at university can participate in.

Would you like to participate in a long-term paid work experience/internship where you can gain practical experience and improve your skills? ◎Recruitment guidelines for companies participating in the Sendai Shigoto experience Target: Companies and individual business owners with offices in Sendai City Industry: No questions Participation fee: Free For participating companies, the program will be posted on the project’s dedicated website, and the Sendai Shigoto Experience Management Office will provide extensive support from program formulation to public relations and matching with students. We also have a detailed page with program content and company information to encourage students to apply. Benefits of long-term paid work experience/internship 01 For creating points of contact with students. Rather than a short-term internship that directly leads to employment, we build relationships with students before they begin their full-fledged job search through long-term programs lasting from several weeks to several months, and aim to improve the company’s visibility. 02 Utilize young people’s ideas. Through the program, you can experience the values of today’s students. Ideas regarding corporate management, recruitment, and business may emerge. 03 Promote in-house business organization and DX. When accepting students, we will identify tasks and create manuals, which will lead to internal business organization. Program conditions that can be held Duration: 6 days to several months. (You can continue afterwards) Work content: Although the genre does not matter, we recommend that you include some content that allows students to experience work at a company, such as part of the work of an employee. Recruitment requirements: Document screening and interviews can be conducted, recruitment requirements can be set for each company. Salary: After the 6th day, we will conclude an employment contract and pay you more than the minimum wage.
