Who knows.” Tenzin Che Miyahira Period Friday, November 8, 2024 – Sunday, November 17, 2024 Organized by: CIBONE Business hours: 11:00 – 20:00 Address: GYRE B1F, 5-10-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Tenzin Che Miyahira is a member of the NYC skateboarding crew Homies Network and works as an artist who primarily works with photography and painting. In terms of photographic expression, I previously held a solo exhibition in Japan that mainly focused on the themes of friendship and travel, capturing the emotions I would like to preserve in the momentary memory of that moment. In the paintings I present this time, I hope to evoke a vague and open feeling of “I wonder what will happen next” through his works. The directly perceptible image of death, which appears in many of his painting motifs, is aggressive, and one can imagine that it sometimes transforms into intense emotion. However, what he expresses here is like a scene from one of his favorite movies, a very pure expression evoked from a sense of playfulness and wondering what will happen next. It can be said that it focuses on the “next” in “and asks questions about the future.” In this exhibition, you can also see the spray art in the exhibition space by Tenzin Che Miyahira, who came to Japan for the exhibition.
