The illuminations, which began in 1990, were a spectacular display using 500,000 incandescent light bulbs, as LEDs were not widespread at the time. Later, LED lights were introduced, and the event became known as the “Okinawa Tropical Illumination” and is now held as a winter event with more than 4 million illuminations. From planning and design to
construction, decoration, and installation, all processes are handmade by our staff, creating a warm space.
