During his active years, he often held summer training camps in Tateyama, and even after retiring, he continues to enjoy the backcountry. Although it’s not limited to Toyama, I feel that there is less snow due to global warming. Out of a desire to protect our snowy mountains, we established a foundation called the Winter Industry Revitalization Organization, which conducts snow resource conservation activities such as tree-planting projects. I would like to continue my efforts to preserve the wonderful snowy scenery of the Tateyama Mountain Range forever. -Kentaro Minagawa Taira Ski Resort has been hosting the Freestyle Ski Championships for a long time, and we have been very grateful for the support. I myself sometimes ski in Tateyama on a private basis, and it feels like the seasons are changing little by little, both in Tateyama and in my hometown of Hakuba. I hope that I can continue skating forever while cherishing this snowy landscape. ―Aiko Uemura ❚SAVE THE SNOW About activities in Toyama Prefecture May 14, 2024: Donated 100 copies of the picture book “Yukiyudaisuki” to Toyama Prefecture, gave a lecture at Toyama Daiichi High School and held a plogging event with the school’s ski club June 29, 2024: Plogging with Toyama Daiichi High School Ski Club November 9, 2024: Planning to carry out plogging in Nanto City with ski-related people in Toyama Prefecture
