“hana_re,” which sells it. For the “Kami no Shima” brand, we worked on developing cosmetic products that utilize tankan, a local specialty. In particular, we thought about upcycling fruit thinning (green tankard), and after more than a year, we took on the challenge of developing a product that values naturally derived ingredients. At this event, we hope to create new value by using tankan in cosmetics, and to spread the word about products packed with the natural blessings of Yakushima to as many people as possible. It has social significance as it protects Yakushima’s local resources while also revitalizing the economy and promoting sustainable agriculture. We aim to be an event where you can discover new possibilities for tanks and build connections with people living on Yakushima Island and people visiting for sightseeing.
