The best time to see the autumn leaves in the park is around November 20th every year. A recommended spot to view maple trees is the maple garden. Established in 1977 and built over 40 years, this area offers a beautiful landscape of trees that have grown over time. Even in the Tokyo metropolitan area, you can enjoy a wide variety of maple trees, and enjoy the delicate differences in colors such as red, yellow, orange, and even pink, as well as the variations in leaf shape. In addition, to coincide with the best time to see the autumn leaves, we have installed signboards that introduce trivia about maples and maple maps that introduce the planted maple species in the maple garden and the Urban Green Botanical Garden Exhibition Building. Of particular note is the maple garden, which is at its peak, where you can enjoy the diversity of colors and shapes of the 500 maples of about 20 different species, which shine in red, orange, and golden yellow. Please come to the forest park, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery created by various trees, and enjoy the harmony of autumn nature and
illuminations. National Musashikyuryo Forest Park Overview National Musashi Hills Forest Park is the first national park in Japan that was opened as part of a commemorative project to honor the great achievements of the Meiji era, taking advantage of the location that retains the vestiges of Musashino. It was established as a fitting commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Meiji era, in order to ensure that residents of cities that are losing nature have a place to restore their humanity through greenery. The park, which boasts an area the size of 65 Tokyo Domes, has plenty of play equipment for the whole family to enjoy, including one of Japan’s largest air trampolines, Pon Poko Mountain, and an athletic course.
