Here we introduce important research themes in sustainable architecture and wood engineering. Researchers from Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and Japan have studied sustainable wooden architecture, new directions in sustainable architecture, the properties of wood as an
environmentally friendly and earthquake-resistant structural material, and wooden structures. We will focus on the durability and reuse design of objects, the durability of innovative joints in wood, and the development of composite hybrid structures such as steel and cross-laminated laminated boards (CLT). This seminar not only promotes wood engineering but also provides an opportunity to build networks among international researchers.
