In addition to canvas works using oil and acrylic paints, he also creates digital art and works using mirrors and waste materials as supports, and is also active as an illustrator. Among the paintings that I have seen so far, the ones that I intuitively thought were “dangerous” have in common that they are “paintings that make you want to look at them forever,” which is very similar to the feeling of “love at first sight.” With this in mind, I always work with “love at first sight” as one of my themes. He has been actively exhibiting his works in exhibitions since around 2022, and plans to participate in exhibitions in Asia, America, Europe, etc. in 2025. When we were talking about the request, the moment the word “Natsuki Deguchi” came up, I jumped in surprise. Moreover, I almost fainted when I heard that he was working on raw tea, which I have loved and drank since I was a child. I felt that Mr. Deguchi’s face had both the impression of being young and cute, as well as the impression of being refreshing and handsome, so I focused on depicting his unique beauty. I feel that raw tea has the best natural sweetness and cooling sensation among the many plastic bottled green teas, so I drew it with the hope of expressing that taste in the illustration.
