Regarding the implementation of in-store events at Ito-Yokado This event was held as part of Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd.’s “Autumn Environment Month” and also to announce “GAP and SDGs Agriculture Day” on November 14th. Titled “Let’s find the JGAP mark challenge!” we asked customers to search for products with the JGAP mark in the store, and those who found the product were presented with a JGAP-certified egg and Enoki Mushroom. A total of 800 customers participated over the four days and learned about the characteristics of JGAP-certified agricultural and livestock products that take food safety and environmental conservation into consideration. Participants said, “I want to learn about JGAP and support producers who are serious about farming with consideration for the environment.” “I want to support not only the safety of ingredients, but also the raising environment of livestock, the working environment of workers, human rights, etc. of production.” “I felt that the background was also important,” said the event, which showed a growing awareness of sustainable agriculture.
