The enchanting façade tells a textile story. The fibers form a light cloud that is carried in a bale and floats in an amazing mechanism, transformed into cloth and finally turned into fabric swatches and ornaments, which rise to a height of 17 meters. Decorate a beautiful holiday tree. Harrods’ 36 windows, two pop-ups and a variety of in-store animations all tell the special story of Loro Piana. Each window shines with excellence, telling a story of textiles, community, and beautiful landscapes, and showcasing the Maison’s masterful flow of handiwork. The enchanting journey begins in a remote and impressive location, home to adorable animals that produce some of the world’s finest and rarest materials, and continues to the Loro Piana factory in Quarona, Italy. These materials are then transformed into dream-like and precious gifts. The Workshop of Wonders concept is a testament to the Maison’s
craftsmanship, with exquisite details and materials that combine artistry and excellence. It captures Loro Piana’s incredible history, tradition and know-how from a fascinating angle, telling the story of unparalleled craftsmanship and excellence from raw materials to finished products. It is a vivid tribute to Loro Piana’s unique workshops, tools and master craftsmanship, all of which come together to create the Maison’s unique personality. Reflecting expertise, passion and innovation, we work with the forces of nature to transform dreams into reality. As its name suggests, Workshop of Wonders is comprised of elaborate moving sets that combine the idea of a marionette theater with exposed backstage tricks and the typical handmade feel of an artisan workshop. sophisticated 1920s perspective that recalls the Maison’s origins, woody textures are finished in warm, dusky tones with a touch of matte gold to enhance the overall period feel. The dream-like scene features hand-painted dolls and fringes with hand-knitted fluffy clouds, demonstrating Loro Piana’s signature Italian craftsmanship. This insightful and entertaining extravaganza takes visitors on a poetic journey across latitude and longitude to discover where it all begins, where we’re going, and where we’ll end up. Blurring the line between reality and fantasy, Workshop of Wonders further highlights the long-standing association between Loro Piana and Harrods, a partnership that brings joy and fun to children and adults alike. The Workshop of Wonders, to be held from November 7, 2024 to January 2, 2025, is a worldwide event celebrating the 100th anniversary of Loro Piana, founded by Pietro Loro Piana in 1924. It is an important part of the festival. During this period, Harrods will open two special stores, one for Kids Collection and one for Loro Piana Interiors. Limited edition products celebrating the House’s heritage and the holiday season will also be available at Harrods.

A dreamlike atmosphere of celebration surrounds you. The enchanting façade is a mesmerizing work of art that tells a magical fairy tale of the creative process, and lights up after dark to create a festive mood. In the display, light fibers like clouds are packed into bales and transported on a conveyor belt, transformed into cloth using an amazing mechanism, and finally made into fabric swatches and unique ornaments. It tells the story of a fully decorated 17-meter-tall holiday tree.

From Brompton Road to the rest of the world, windows feature textiles such as vicuña, baby cashmere, The Gift of Kings® and Pecora Nera®, historical archives, the Loro Piana coat of arms, signature bags and leather goods. , icons such as the Spagna Jacket, and our bespoke service, weaving a story deeply connected to Loro Piana’s 100th anniversary. The main window features a rotating globe above a miniature of the Loro Piana factory in Quarona, Italy. It shows the origins of the textile masters and the journeys they took to get there. The iconic Harrods Green Man sits in a cloud above the globe, symbolizing the long-standing association between Harrods and Loro Piana. On my journey from Mongolia to Italy, I am captivated by the sight of baby goats hopping on fluffy cashmere clouds against a starry night sky. A giant rotating sun casts a warm golden glow over Vicuna’s celestial tales. The Gift of Kings(R) window tells the story of the Merino sheep’s epic journey around the world in search of the best green pastures. In the late 18th century, Captain James Cook landed in New Zealand and Australia and brought the first Merino sheep to these remote areas. Merino sheep thrive in ideal local conditions and have been carefully cared for by local breeders for generations. In recognition of this effort, Loro Piana awards the Loro Piana Record Vail Award to the finest fiber produced each year. The story of Pecola Nera(R) unravels the vision and skill of New Zealand female breeder Fiona Gardner, who built her flock around dark-coated sheep. Its undyed natural fibers are transformed into special garments with rich earth tones and the softest touch. In addition, there is a window where you can see a magical loom in a historical archive, a flying book picks up spun yarn and stores it on a shelf, and a master tailor’s doll is set in a haute couture setting reminiscent of the 1920s and 1940s. exceptional materials and will be filled with workshop-inspired display elements and embroidered fabrics. An animation is set up on a leather workbench illuminated by overhead lamps, and leather goods and accessories are displayed on large industrial wheels. Here, you’ll find limited edition pieces such as neckwear and beanies in solid baby cashmere, wool and silk twill, as well as neckwear and beanies featuring our signature bear and thistle flower motifs. We also have socks that are comfortable to the touch. Home goods also include wooden goat and alpaca figurines, as well as stuffed animals on wooden pedestals. Newborn Pop-in Store For a limited time only, Newborn Pop-In presents Loro Piana’s vision for newborns in a light fantasy world of softness and comfort. Set in an imaginary dreamland of woolly sheep and fluffy clouds, set against a backdrop of teal paneling and oak furniture, we offer a complete range of products for newborns created in
collaboration with Inglissina. Warm suits, puffers, tailored coats, rompers, beanies and bibs are made from the highest quality cotton, linen and cashmere. Our first collaboration with Inglissina, an Italian company specializing in children’s products and wellbeing since 1963, began with a shared passion for excellence and superior quality. The partnership between these two historic Italian brands has resulted in co-designed strollers and bassinets that combine Inglissina’s commitment to baby comfort with Loro Piana’s elegant natural fibers, which are characterized by their exceptional feel. An ensemble was born. Combining form and function, this stroller is crafted from water-repellent linen/cotton canvas with the iconic Kummel and orange classic suitcase stripe motif.
