At the FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2024, held in Doha, Qatar from October 28 to November 2, 2024, Japan placed 11th out of the 16 participating countries. As a result, we were able to achieve our highest ever ranking of 11th in the world rankings. About “FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2024” The FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2024 was held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar. They will play in the qualifying league in the same group as Uruguay. The first match against Sweden was a very close match with more content than the score showed, but unfortunately we lost 0-3. Although the match against Italy was tough, we were able to secure a stunning 2-1 victory in the final league match against Uruguay. The Japanese team, who had 1 win and 2 losses in the qualifying league, will compete in a tournament to determine 9th to 16th place.

In the match against Chile, Japan showed its tenacity and strength and was able to win 2-0 (last match was W.O.). Next, in the match for 9th to 12th place, they will face Denmark, who are participating in the world tournament for the first time. Although there were many competitive moments, we were unable to overcome and ended up losing 0-2 (the final match was W.O.). Therefore, the final match was for 11th and 12th place. The match for 11th and 12th place will be a rematch with Uruguay, which they played in the league match. As a result of staying focused and not letting up, we were able to win again and secure our position in 11th place. It was a very tough tournament, both physically and mentally, with many close matches as we competed every day. However, the Japanese team was able to significantly improve its ranking compared to its 16th place finish in the previous tournament.
