Nishitetsu Group Press release: November 11, 2024 The second event, “Bus & Chari Trip by Cycle Cargo” – Learn about the history of Shika Island and enjoy the experience, will be held. Nishinihon Railway Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the national government Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, will disassemble bicycles on Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st, 2024. We will conduct a tour using “CYCLE CARGO”, which you can bring in without having to carry it with you.

In this tour, we will use “CYCLE CARGO”, which allows you to bring your bicycle without disassembling it, to travel from Uminonakamichi Seaside Park to Shikashima Island, and then rent a bicycle to tour around Shikashima Island. You can also enjoy experiences unique to Shika Island, such as a lunch box from Hamakoya, which is famous for its turban shell rice, a pot-grilled turban shell from the
long-established Shop Hiro, and listening to stories while enjoying matcha and sweets at Shogonji Temple. Bicycles will be cross bikes from Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, so you can participate without bringing your own. A cycle coordinator will accompany you, so you can enjoy cycling with peace of mind while experiencing the history of Shikashima!
