Chugoku Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, hereinafter referred to as RCC) and West Japan Railway Company (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the entire Sanyo Shinkansen line, we will be holding a commemorative event at Hiroshima Station for two days, 100 days before that date, on Saturday, November 30th, and Sunday, December 1st, 2024. The opening of the entire Sanyo Shinkansen line in 1975 brought great development to the city of Hiroshima. This event is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our business with everyone, and to wish for further development into the future. The event will include a talk show by Hiroshima Toyo Carp players, a public live broadcast of RCC Radio “Enman”, stage performances, and other activities that the whole family can enjoy. Spectator seats are reserved seats. Details will be provided in the winning notification email. Please check the event website for detailed stage program. (2) Sale of ekiben commemorating the 50th anniversary of the opening of all Sanyo Shinkansen lines We will be selling commemorative ekiben from ekiben companies along the Sanyo Shinkansen line (acrylic key chain included). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy commemorative bento boxes that can usually only be purchased locally. *Sales are scheduled to start at 11am on both days. Also, quantities of each type are limited and will end once sold out. (3) Other projects • Digital stamp rally touring around Hiroshima Station You will tour around the event venue while solving quizzes about the Sanyo Shinkansen. Those who visit all the spots will receive a gift. • Setting up a photo spot We will provide a mini Shinkansen. *Depending on the congestion situation, there may be temporary restrictions. • Archive footage (produced by RCC) of the Sanyo Shinkansen up to its opening in 1975 will be shown on monitors in the venue.
