The project began when Mr. Owada, the representative of Aquatech, reaffirmed the importance of satellite mobile phones when he visited the area affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2020, and wanted to donate them to as many local governments as possible. This is an initiative. Mr. Shiotsuki, the representative of the E-BOND group, also agreed with this idea, and donations were made to 100 local governments nationwide.
