The 12th Mokuiku Summit will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The “Mokuiku Summit”, which our organization started in 2014, is held in various places every year, and this year it was held for the first time in Kyushu. More than 20 experts involved in wood will gather from all over the country, including researchers, governments, companies, and local activists. In particular, this year’s event was co-hosted with Green Cooperative Community, a consumer cooperative that boasts the largest number of members in western Japan. As a bridge connecting urban residents and forests, tree education is expected to have a large ripple effect. Wood Start signing ceremony held simultaneously The Tokyo Toy Museum is working with municipalities, nursery schools, and companies to promote wood education throughout the country in order to deliver wooden toys to all over the country and increase the number of wood fans. As part of this, a signing ceremony for the Wood Start Declaration will be held at the venue on the same day, and a tripartite agreement will be concluded between Asakura City, Green Coop, and the Fukuoka Toy Museum.
