The variety of pink represents a free spirit. It’s the beginning of the THINK PINK! season” (Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine) “Love comes from pink” – This is a line* from the passionate fashion magazine editor-in-chief Maggie Prescott (Kay Thompson) in the movie “A Lover in Paris” (1957) starring Audrey Hepburn. The brand, which began with the world’s first luxury leather-wrapped pipes wrapped in hand-stitched leather, continues its heritage of over 70 years while creating a modern Parisienne filled with “joie de vivre”. We continue to convey the style of Longchamp women that is reminiscent of that of a Longchamp woman. Longchamp has released many products in France in 1993, including Le Pliage(R), which was inspired by Japanese origami, and Le Roseau, which has an impressive bamboo toggle. We have created a collection of iconic and timeless bags that embody our savoir-faire. In addition, we promote sustainability with the motto “We produce, we care, we repair,” and since 2019 we have been working on the development of “Le Pliage (R)” that uses recycled materials, and by the end of 2022, all “Le Pliage (R)” R) has been switched to recycled nylon. Currently, under the direction of Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine, each season we release ready-to-wear that reinterprets French elegance, as well as bags, accessories, shoes, eyewear, and travel goods for women and men. With a family-run tradition spanning four generations, Longchamp remains owned and operated by the Cassegrain family and has more than 300 directly managed boutiques in 80 countries around the world. In Japan, “Longchamp La Maison Ginza” was born in July 2019 and has 44 stores, including the flagship La Maison in Omotesando and Ginza (as of July 2024). In addition, Longchamp, which values craftsmanship from its atelier in Segre, France, has been certified as an intangible cultural property company by the French government since 2007.
