This time, the third edition, teams from all over the world competed in eight events, with two new events added to the existing six events: a race using smart visual aid technology and a race using assistive robots. . From Osaka Electro-Communication University, “RPwheel Project-Team OECU&R-Techs” (team leader: Professor Jeong Seong-hee, Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering) participated. In the finals, they completed six of the ten tasks and took third place, following the University of British Columbia in Canada and the East Swiss University of Science in Switzerland. They also won the Jury Award, which is given to a team that has developed a wheelchair that is highly innovative, useful, and versatile, making them a double winner.
