“I want to become a bus driver, which has been my dream since I was a child.” “I want to utilize my love of driving in my work.” For those who have such thoughts, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture will be holding a “route bus/taxi driving experience session and company information session” this fall. For those who are worried about changing jobs, we provide a variety of support until the interview, creating an environment where you can take on the challenge with peace of mind. Please join us! Therefore, in 2019, Toyohashi City began supporting people who aspire to become route bus or taxi drivers in order to maintain and secure public transportation. The support includes holding company information sessions that serve as a bridge between people who are interested in becoming bus and taxi drivers and transportation operators in the city, as well as providing generous support up to interviews. In this spring’s recruitment, a total of seven people were hired, two for buses and five for taxis, the largest number ever for this project. Four bus and taxi companies in the city participated in the briefing session

We are also planning a trial session where you can use the training course to drive actual route buses and taxis. Participants in the spring recruitment program gave positive comments such as “It gave me an idea of ​​what it would be like to work as a driver,” and “The experience made me even more
interested.” Also on the day of the event, there will be a job support seminar by a career consultant and a business briefing session by City Hall. We will support those who wish with career design training and business etiquette courses!
