Additionally, this time we received a special letter of recommendation from Professor Haruo Kamijo of Tohoku Fukushi University, who recommended the book on SNS. ■Why was it revised? The author, Ryuji Yoshimura, has now established the Kokoro Maintenance Association, a general incorporated association, and provides an energy work service called “Kokoro Maintenance.” Although I am no longer directly involved in improvisation, I strive to realize at a deep level the spirit that improvisation embodies: accepting others, opening yourself, and imagining together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF_mbeJuwDU This book did not sell as well as expected when it was released in 2006, but it actually started to become a hot topic after it went out of print. People who have finished reading it pass it on to the next person, or people who find it at a used bookstore pick it up, and it continues to be read by many people. I was surprised to see that it was once priced at 20,000 yen (list price 1,680 yen) on Amazon. In fact, improvisation itself has become much more well-known than before, becoming a hot topic on social media, and the number of participants is increasing. More and more companies are incorporating this as part of their communication training in the workplace. I decided to reprint this book because I believe that even though times may change, the message of valuing connections between people will resonate with many people. ■Is improvisation required for coaches and sales positions? Improvisation is a type of training originally designed for actors who rely on a script and don’t listen to the other person’s lines. However, this skill is not only necessary for actors, but also useful for business people. Its usefulness can be easily imagined from the fact that major American companies such as Microsoft, Starbucks, and Pixar incorporate improvisation into their employee training. The training games featured in this book are designed to improve concentration, the ability to read the other person’s intentions and the atmosphere of the situation, the ability to communicate (expressiveness) to the other person, positive thinking, and “flexibility.” We specialize in training the ability to think creatively and the ability to respond to change.

There was also a salesman who improved his performance by learning improvisation because he was able to have uninterrupted conversations with customers. Isn’t it a very convincing fact that coaches and salespeople who are communication professionals who produce results in the business world recognize the effectiveness of improvisation? ■Is improvisation a tool for world peace?

If we accept the other person’s story in a positive manner, under the rules of not denying it, and if we train everyone to play a certain role, our imagination for others will expand, and we may be able to create a world where bullying and wars end. If people all over the world learn improvisation, the world will become more peaceful. We’ll start with Japan, so we’d be happy if we could help spread improvisation with the help of the media. Upon graduating from junior high school in 1985, he went to the United States to study on his own. He discovered theater in 1994 while attending the School of Art at San Jose State University in
California. After returning to Japan, he studied method acting at Ups Academy, an actor training school led by Yoko Narahashi, and discovered improvisation in 1998. Even after graduating from the training school, he received lessons from many improvisers in Japan and abroad, including Keith Johnston. In 2002, he founded the improvisational performance group “Impromotive” and has performed numerous times at theaters, live music venues, bars, clubs, streets, etc. In August 2005, he left Impromotive and became independent. Has appeared on stage, in videos, games, events, etc. I used to direct video works and give acting guidance, but now I am focusing on mental healing, and I am focusing on solving the walls that lie deep within people’s hearts and prevent them from connecting with others and living their own way. I use special energy techniques to help you release it. • Author: “Kokoro Maintenance – Is your mind functioning normally?” ~” Kindle version (2015/12/17) • “Techniques of
