Press release: November 13, 2024 Ryokan Onomichi Nishiyama Dinner Event “Suuki and Delicious Ceremony” Enjoy French cuisine in Tanagokoro utensils At the all-inclusive inn “Ryokan Onomichi Nishiyama” (Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, operated by Setouchi Ryokan Co., Ltd.), which reopened in April 2023, Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st, 2024 For two days, a group of potters and lacquer artists with connections to Hiroshima 《 Tanagokoro 》We will be holding a French cuisine event. In our proud garden, you can enjoy dishes made with luxurious seasonal ingredients served on a variety of handcrafted utensils, along with local Hiroshima sake.We offer utensils and food that everyone from beginners to utensils to sukiyaki can enjoy. It’s a feast. We hope that you will take this opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the eye-pleasing pottery that decorates the garden during the snow festival season, as well as each plate of French cuisine, each of which is painted like a painting. From December 2nd until January 6th, we hope that the general public will be able to pick up the Tanagokoro utensils on display in the museum’s public space. Some spaces within the museum will be open for a limited time as a gallery, with advance reservations required. Although the days when the artists are in the gallery are limited, please feel the charm of Tanagokoro vessels with your own eyes and hands. Ryokan Onomichi Nishiyama has the concept of “an inn that conveys the true Onomichi culture to the present day” and aims to recreate Onomichi’s good old tea garden culture in the present day.
