Tochigi Free School Festival 2024 will be held in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture! This will be the second time the event will be held following last year. The event was sponsored by the Tochigi Network, which was formed by volunteer groups involved in supporting truant children in Tochigi Prefecture, “Together Creating Places Outside of School.” This event was planned with the cooperation of everyone who runs free schools, children’s places, parent associations, etc. in the prefecture. “I want to create an opportunity for children who don’t go to school or can’t go to school to have an extraordinary
experience.” With that in mind, I decided to plan something like a school festival. Each room has a variety of booths and projects for both children and adults to enjoy. It is a place where each child can be where they want to be at the time, such as mentos cola, icing cookie experience, slime making, board games, ring toss, cotton candy making, tea ceremony experience, on-site children’s cafeteria, free space for parents, etc. . We will also hold parent meetings for parents. If you have children who don’t usually get a chance to go out, or if you’re a parent who wants someone to talk to about your worries, why not take advantage of this opportunity? We are also planning a lecture in the morning. There is also a video from last year’s event, so please take a look at that as well! https://img.youtube.com/vi/ytrxELBoLdo/sddefault.jpg
