Shibuya Mirai Design General Incorporated Association Press release: November 13, 2024 A total of 150,000 people participated! “SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2024” concludes More than 100 programs are being implemented as a place for dialogue, ideas, experiences, and demonstrations among industry, government, academia, and citizens to design the future from Shibuya. incorporated association, will hold the social & cultural design festival “SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2024 (hereinafter referred to as SIW)” from October 18th (Friday) to November 10th ( It was held on Sunday). This year, with the slogan “Connecting Colors of Dots,” individuals of various colors were connected and shared a space to think about a more colorful future. We have also collaborated with local events such as the Shibuya Music Festival, Shibuya Arts Festival, and Furusato Shibuya Festival, and have evolved into a “city festival” that attracts more people to participate. A total of 244 speakers participated in the 108 programs and talk sessions, including “Leading Society through Design and Entertainment,” which was presented by actor and International Short Film Festival board representative Tetsuya Bessho, and collaborated. A total of 150,000 people participated, including visitors to all venues including the event and online viewers, and the event ended with great success. The talk sessions held at each venue are available as reports on the SIW official website and archives on the official Youtube channel.
