approximately 300 square meter space in front of the station. “Amoure” is a plaza that takes time to create together with local residents while regularly holding workshops and events centered around three areas: perennial garden, furniture, and bamboo crafts. By creating a space that is conscious of the coexistence of the past, present, and future, we aim to become a hub for the local community where long-term residents and newcomers can interact. Our company would like to connect with the local people through this “Amoure” and lead to the development of the area around Sakuranamiki Station. About Sakuranamiki Ekimae Square “Amoure” [Hiroba Overview] Name:
Sakuranamiki Ekimae Square “Amoure” Origin: Let’s “weave” connections between the town and people. By doing so, it is a plaza where “joyful” things are born. From this point, we aim to spread love for the area (Amore) throughout the city. The logo design depicts a line of cherry blossom trees being formed by people working together to create a plaza.

Past…Using local native species, imagining an old-fashioned field Currently… Planting with local people on “Amoure” opening day The future… Inflate your expectations for the future with brightly colored plants ・The perennial plants used for planting are plants that, once planted, will sprout every year at the appropriate time for growth. By using perennial plants, we expressed our hope that the relationship with the plaza will continue into the future. ・We will plant and cultivate perennial plants mainly through workshops, and spend time with local people to cultivate perennial gardens. At the end of “Aimo”, we plan to connect grown plants and local circles by transplanting plants to the surrounding areas. ・ By installing a rainwater tank that collects rainwater in the elevated part, we will create an environment that can be conserved and irrigation by anyone.

[Special cooperation] Everyone in the area around Sakura Namiki Station ■ About Chika Takatori Laboratory From the perspective of landscape ecology, we engage in research and practical activities aimed at coexistence between humans and nature and the formation of sustainable and richer local communities. 〈Comments about this project〉 The name “Amore” comes from the Italian word “amore”, which means “love”. We chose this name with the aim of creating connections between the cherry blossom trees, the people who live in the area, and the people who visit the area through a variety of interactions through this plaza. A perennial garden where you can enjoy the beauty of nature throughout the four seasons and feel the rainwater cycle together with the local community. We created this garden based on ideas about how people would like to stay and interact with the local community. Installation will be created as bamboo decoration and summer sunshade using furniture and abandoned bamboo grove, which is also a problem in the Fukuoka metropolitan area. I hope that by knitting these three elements, the entire square will deepen the interaction of the local community and the attachment to the community, and the square will blend in the whole area.
