 From 1937 to 1945 in Fujimino City, there was a factory called “Tokyo First Army Arsenal Kawagoe Factory (Fireworks)” that manufactured bombs and bullets used in the war. There was. The site is approximately 550,000 square meters, approximately the size of 12 Tokyo Domes, and the site is currently home to City Hall, Uenodai Elementary School, Fukuoka Junior High School, Fukuoka Central Park, residences, and private companies.  Next year, 2025, will mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. As the generation that knows about war is getting older, this project aims to encourage younger generations who don’t know about war to rediscover the history of war and the pyrotechnic factory that once existed in the city. The purpose is to connect the memories of the past to the future and provide an opportunity to think about peace.  On the day, you will learn about Kamifukuoka in the early Showa era while walking around Fukuoka Central Park, the former site of a pyrotechnic factory, and around Fukuoka Junior High School. We will also tour the entire model of the arsenal and materials on display at the Kamifukuoka History and Folklore Museum. The guides will be Mr. Hiroki Kumagai, a student researcher at the Bunkyo Gakuin University Urban Development Research Center and the Pyrotechnical Factory Storytelling
Association, as well as some students from the University’s Faculty of Humanities. In case of rain, there will be a tour of the exhibits and an explanation about the Arsenal at the Kamifukuoka History and Folklore Museum.  As part of the Bunkyo Gakuin University Urban Development Research Center’s Fujimino Suburban Theory Project, students from the University’s Faculty of Human Studies were in charge of planning and drafting this project, and the students from the Faculty of Human Studies were in charge of the planning and planning of this project.
