36th Coming of Age Day Concert 2025 Flyer Mizuho Financial Group Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the “36th Coming of Age Day Concert 2025″ to be held at Suntory Hall (Minato-ku, Tokyo) on January 13, 2025 (Monday, Coming of Age Day). We will invite 50 groups of 100 people. This concert is held every year on Coming of Age Day with the aim of supporting the development of young artists and popularizing classical music among the youth who will lead the next generation. This time, the 36th time, the show will conclude with Saint-Saëns’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso (a concerto piece for violin and orchestra) by Kotone Mizuno (violin), a brilliant newcomer and winner of the 2023 Japan Music Competition. After opening it, I played Puccini’s youth opera “La Bohème”, “Youth in the Latin Quarter, Lovers in Paris”. The instrument used is a Pietro Guarneri made in 1721, loaned by the ITOH General Foundation. Currently studying under Natori Tamai and Masafumi Hori. Part 2: Youth of the Latin Quarter, Lovers of Paris Invitation to Puccini Opera “La Bohème” 〈Concert format/highlight performance Italian/Japanese subtitles〉 “La Bohème” depicts the pure love between the poet Rodolfo and the seamstress Mimi, and the poor but free lives of young artists who dream of tomorrow’s success. “La Bohème” is a masterpiece youth opera by Puccini, a representative Italian composer, and was created in the 19th century. The setting is the Latin Quarter in Paris. Puccini’s famous melodies decorate the entire film, creating a romantic story. Music and stories reminiscent of the bustle of Christmas, snowy landscapes, and the streets of Paris. This time, it is an original project that extracts the essence of music and presents its highlights in a concert format. Combining opera music with narration, the sophisticated production and music perfectly combine to make the work stand out.
