cocorodama.reservation@gmail.com What is [Noto Peninsula/Ishikawa Prefecture x Heart and Soul Let’s move forward together project]? “I can’t see the future” and “It will take a long time until
recovery”. We would like to hear from you and do our best to bring you into a world that is as different as possible! With these prayers in mind, I headed to the Noto Peninsula in June of this year. I learned that it will take a long time for the Noto Peninsula to recover, and that replenishing mental energy is an urgent need. I also felt the need to continue supporting Ishikawa Prefecture for its recovery. Let’s support the recovery of children with disabilities and Ishikawa Prefecture through songs, dance, and expressions. [Inquiry] NPO Shinkon Project cocorodama.reservation@gmail.com [From a family in Ishikawa Prefecture] We received these comments from the families of PareTTe, a family group for children with medical care and
disabilities in Ishikawa, who have made a lot of efforts to hold the performance in June 2024. “When I received the call from the Shinkon Project, it was in early March, when the weather was still cold. Two months had passed since the earthquake early in the new year, and there were still many places in Noto with no hope of water being restored. I want to deliver energy to children and their families who are forced to live a life that is very different from their daily lives until last year, with a performance that will lift their spirits. Now, Ishikawa is the place where I can deliver energy. There’s no one but me.That’s why I agreed to coordinate the Ishikawa tour. I had been thinking about holding a face-to-face performance in Ishikawa for some time, but considering the current situation, I couldn’t let go and be overjoyed, so I braced myself and negotiated with various parties. I heard that many children with disabilities were unable to stay in Noto and were evacuated to Kanazawa. So, we first decided on a place in Kanazawa that could accommodate many children in buggies and wheelchairs, and decided on Ishikawa Special Needs School, which my child also attends. I wanted to go to multiple locations in Noto if possible, but at first I had no idea where the event would be held. As a result of asking for information on SNS, contacting them, and using various tips, Wajima Teen Lab in Wajima City, which suffered major damage such as the morning market being destroyed by fire, was found immediately after the disaster. It has been decided that the event will be held at Nanao Hospital in Nanao City, which has been accepting children with severe mental and physical disabilities from Oku-Noto, despite power outages, water outages, and shortages of supplies. The other hospital, Iou Hospital, is also located in Kanazawa, and has long been a hospital that has been admitting many children with disabilities from Noto. The prefecture’s medical care child support center was also located there, and it was heavily involved in quickly assessing the situation and evacuating children in Noto. At Ishikawa Special Needs School, teachers and many volunteers helped from the announcement and preparation stages, and by the end of the two performances in the morning and afternoon, there were over 300 participants, including volunteers! There were children screaming, dancing, shaking their bodies, singing along, running, and parents crying. I felt that Shinkon’s energy was definitely transmitted to everyone’s hearts. In the afternoon episode, there will be a collaboration with Kanazawa high school girl “Rin-chan” playing the piano. Rin-chan, whose eyes were impressive through her respiratory mask, was probably nervous as it was her first time performing the piano for so many people, but she played the piano perfectly. At Wajima Teen Lab the next day, the venue capacity was originally said to be around 30 people, but in the end nearly 70 people, from small children to the elderly, attended. This time, we have a unique project where we talk to junior high and high school students about the place where the teenagers belong, and about their lives so far. It was a very meaningful time, as it was an opportunity to hear the thoughts of those who were there, and I felt as if we had become closer together. After the event, it was interesting to discover that the children who participated were very good at spinning plates.

However, once I meet the local children, I start to wonder if “those children” are safe. I wanted them to know that there are adults out there who are thinking about you in a pinpoint way. Now, back to the topic, there are two hospitals in the second half of the tour. Since the performances were held within the hospital wards, I was not able to attend as an outsider, but I heard that both performances were very fulfilling. In a hospital ward where there are many people with severe disabilities, four performers divided into two groups and sang at the bedside, two performance venues were set up, and there was also an after-hours performance for the staff. Just by listening to them, I could tell that despite their hard schedules, they gave their all to each and every one of them. I could also see from the photos that the hospital staff were really looking forward to the preparations, and I felt deeply grateful that I was able to connect with them this time. During the preparation stage, we sometimes did not receive any replies from the people we had approached (but it is natural for people who have been affected by the disaster to be doing their best and don’t have time to reply to strangers), and there were many more people participating than expected. While I was happy to be able to participate in the event, I was also worried about the management as I had no experience with it, but at every performance, I received very satisfied feedback from those who attended. “The child, who doesn’t usually have much conversation, was able to say “Thank you!” loudly to the performer at the end.” “It touched my heart and I couldn’t stop crying.” “I’ve never been to a musical before, but this time I was really moved.” I feel like I’m about to cry while reading this. Many people said, “I want to participate again” and “I want you to come to Ishikawa again.” Although the tour has just ended, I think we need to restart it soon for the next time. Personally, I was able to participate in performances at Ishikawa Tokushu’s large gymnasium and Wajima Teen Lab’s performances at a distance where they were almost knee-to-knee, and I felt the breadth of Shinkon’s professionalism. Actually, I thought that the person who received the most happiness this time was myself. At first, I took on the task alone, but it would have been impossible for me to do it alone, so I had to rely on the help of many people. In addition to school teachers, there were over 30 volunteers who gathered, as well as families who kindly agreed to spend the day helping out in Wajima, and people who distributed flyers even if they couldn’t come to the performance. , and my mom friends who are part of the pallet management team and worked together with me to prepare the food with great care. I felt that I was supported by so many people, and that so many people were connected to me. I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, not only for their wonderful performance, but also for giving me the opportunity to feel connected. In Noto, which is still in the midst of the disaster, recovery and reconstruction will require as many people as possible to connect. I want to support people who are walking on a road that is never close to them, and I want to accompany them along the way. Even though time has passed since the earthquake occurred, I want you to remember this. I hope that you will continue to pay close attention to Noto and come visit Ishikawa Prefecture when you are able to go sightseeing. With the slogan “NOTO, NOT ALONE ~Noto is not alone~”, all Ishikawa Prefecture residents will work together and do their best. ” NPO Kokorodama Project Organization Overview Philosophy: [Excitement, excitement, and emotion] are rights given equally to all people Corporate name: Non-profit organization Shinkon Project Address: 7th floor, Suishin Building, 1-11-1 Kitasai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture Established: January 2014 Co-representatives: Mami Terada (general producer) / Minako Terada (Arinaga) (representative director) Business details: 1. “Performance business” that delivers full-fledged performances centered on actors from Shiki Theater Company and Takarazuka Revue, 2. “Development project” that develops full-fledged performers, 3.
