Issue 1: Welcome to Wonderland Hankyu Umeda Main Store’s Christmas theme is “MEET the WONDER CHRISTMAS” and we will be introducing a variety of sparkling and exciting contents and items this year as well. Following Alice in Wonderland in 2022 and Alice Through the Looking Glass in 2023, this year we will express a mysterious and exciting mood with the original story “Christmas in Wonderland”. The first floor concourse window will feature a marionette theater, and special edition shopping bags and message cards will enliven the Christmas spirit. In addition to a Christmas market reminiscent of European Christmas markets starting Wednesday, November 20th at the festival plaza/event hall on the 9th floor, there will also be events for families and children that create opportunities to see children’s smiles, as well as educational activities. We also have a children’s college Christmas project that offers an experience. Content that will make the Christmas season fun for everyone from adults to children will be released one after another. Following “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” in 2022 and “Through the Looking Glass” in 2023, this year’s original story “Christmas in Wonderland” will be released. Various characters appear on all 7 pages, using dolls created by Yumi Hayashi, a Czech-based doll maker and stage designer who is active both domestically and internationally, and stamp designs by Noriko Oshita of Goby Stamp. Alice is taken to Wonderland by the White Rabbit to find Sister Lorina’s present. In a world that looks like an amusement park, seven scenes depict the joy of Christmas, including a gift factory, a ball, and a party. Hankyu Umeda Main Store’s famous concourse window, which attracts both adults and children, will be sure to bring excitement and excitement to Christmas this year as well. There will also be a marionette mini theater on the 3rd, 4th, and 6th floors.

A large gathering of babies in Santa costumes “Gather! 100 Baby Santas” Date and time: Tuesday, December 17th from 10:30 a.m. (approximately 30 minutes) Location: 9th floor festival plaza Capacity: 100 groups Target: Baby and mom pairs under 1 year old Participation fee: Free Entry period: November 6th (Wednesday) 10:00 a.m. to 28th (Thursday) Lottery results distribution: December 2nd (Monday) *Dress code: Baby is Santa Claus costume An event where 100 babies under 1 year old dressed in Santa Claus costumes gather to make their first Christmas memorable. Babies dressed as Santa Claus gather on the grand staircase of the festival plaza, which is sparkling with illuminations. This event was planned with the hope that Christmas would be an opportunity for parents and children to communicate, connect with each other, and enjoy raising children. At this event, you can spend time filled with smiles while enjoying the performance of Christmas songs and rhythmic play along with the music.
Furthermore, this time, if you register as a member of the online community site “HANKYU Mama Community” where mothers raising children gather, you will have the privilege of participating in a photo session. The experience of being on the same stage as university students and accomplishing things with your friends will also help you grow mentally. Through learning and experience, we will create a Christmas that will remain in the hearts of children.
