Nomi Disaster Prevention Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takeshi Okamura, Capital: 13.3 billion yen, TSE Prime Market) will be established by Komazawa University (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) from October 29th to 31st. At the disaster prevention event “Komadai Disaster Prevention Halloween” held on the same day, we provided a mission rally-style disaster prevention learning called “Komadai Disaster Prevention Tour” using the app “NHOPS”. Through this learning program, students and faculty members were able to learn practical disaster prevention actions and disaster prevention knowledge in the event of a disaster on campus. NHOPS is an app currently under development that aims to solve problems at evacuation centers. To date, we have conducted interviews with more than 100 local governments and related organizations regarding evacuation centers, and investigated the issues faced by staff working on-site and local residents. Local governments across the country are creating manuals and conducting training on opening and operating evacuation centers in preparation for earthquakes, wind and flood disasters, etc. However, in the event of an actual disaster, staff with extensive disaster prevention knowledge are assigned to the disaster response headquarters, so staff working on site and local residents were worried about whether they would be able to actually carry out the work. NHOPS aims to allow users to take necessary actions more easily than with manuals. ■Komadai Disaster Prevention Halloween Komazawa University holds disaster prevention events to raise disaster prevention awareness for students, faculty and staff. This year, the event was held under the name “Komadai Disaster Prevention
Halloween,” allowing local residents to participate as well. ■Overview of Koma Daibousai Tour Our company provided the “Koma Daibousai Meguri” as one of the event’s attractions. This attraction utilizes the app “NHOPS” and is an experience where students and faculty members can learn specific actions and judgment criteria in the event of a disaster on campus, as well as general knowledge about disaster prevention, in the form of quizzes and mission rallies. This is an event. This time, we prepared four courses (earthquake disaster, fire, lifesaving, and disaster prevention learning), and participants scanned the QR code corresponding to each course to participate. Each course took about 10 to 15 minutes to complete the mission, and participants who completed the mission were awarded prizes (disaster prevention supplies) prepared by the university. ■Usage image Image

Based on their experience of using the product, 75% of people answered that they would be able to participate in the work even in an unfamiliar evacuation center during a disaster.
